- Analyze business requirements and technical specifications of applications in development to determine how to develop into testable elements.
- Participate/ lead in the development of test scripts,test scenarios and test methodologies and document for execution. May review and critique test scripts developed by peers and suggest improvements.
- Work with team to conduct tests for applications in production or in development, applications pending migration, or applications recently patched. May lead test exercises involving less experienced staff.
- Document test results, and compile results of other testers into a consolidated report for management, clients, and applications staff. May perform regression or other analyses and present in project meeting.
- Conduct and coordinate integration and user acceptance testing (UAT) prior to the release of new data feeds into production. Rerun test executions if the results do not meet customer acceptance level.
- Understand business requirements, functional specifications, and other project artifacts to develop extensive test scripts which include all exception possibilities. Tests are designed with a focus on reuse and maintainability.
- Maintain records of test results, analyze test results/ test procedures, and recommend corrective actions.
- Report testing results and create defects found during manual or automated testing.
