Scope of work

As a Quality Assurance Supervisor, you will lead a QA team to ensure that software products meet defined quality standards before release. You will oversee daily testing activities, manage resources, and coordinate with development and product teams to ensure timely and accurate delivery of test results. This role combines hands-on testing expertise with leadership responsibilities to maintain consistent quality in all deliverables. 


Duties and Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily QA operations, ensuring testing activities are completed on schedule and according to standards. 
  • Review and approve test cases, scripts, and defect reports created by QA Engineers. 
  • Coordinate with development and product teams to align testing priorities with project requirements. 
  • Conduct regular quality reviews and provide feedback to QA team members. 
  • Identify process improvement opportunities and assist in implementing new testing methodologies or tools. 
  • Participate in hands-on testing for complex or high-priority features when necessary. 
  • Monitor defect tracking, analysis, and resolution processes to maintain high-quality deliverables. 
  • Work with teams to conduct tests for applications in production or in development, applications pending migration, or applications recently patched. May lead test exercises involving less experienced staff 
  • Document test results, and compile results of other testers into a consolidated report for management, clients, and applications staff. May perform regression or other analyses and present in project meetings. 
  • Know environment impact and side effect to other modules when features are changed or when developing new software. 
  • Understand business requirements, functional specifications, and other project artifacts to develop extensive test scripts which include all exception possibilities. Tests are designed with a focus on reuse and maintainability. 

Education and Experience

Required for this role

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field. 
  • 4–6 years of experience in software quality assurance, with at least 1–2 years in a lead or supervisory capacity. 
  • Strong knowledge of manual and automated testing methodologies. 
  • Experience with QA tools such as Selenium, JMeter, Postman, or similar. 
  • Good leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. 
  • Ability to manage multiple testing projects simultaneously.

  • Experience with test management tool and software management tool like Jira, x-ray, Trello, etc.
